60-Minute Gong Bath
A 60-minute Gong Bath is a deeply relaxing sound experience guided by the vibrations of the gong. As the gong is played, layers of rich overtones spread through the space like gentle waves of sound surrounding the body. These vibrations naturally work with the nervous system, allowing the brain to shift from active Beta waves (associated with focus, thinking and stress) into calmer Alpha waves, and sometimes into Theta waves — a state linked with meditation and deep rest.
This can be especially helpful for easing anxiety, improving sleep, and reducing stress, allowing a busy mind to finally slow down and settle.
Sound reaches us in a way the body cannot resist.
Unlike sight, smell or touch — which we can consciously ignore — our ears cannot be closed. Sound waves travel freely through space and through the body’s water, and are received instantly by the nervous system. For this reason, sound often touches us more quickly and more deeply than conscious thought, gently releasing tension, calming the mind, and soothing the heart.
During the session, no technique or effort is required.
